ESTC Post-conference Debrief
Aaron Murakami’s Energy Science Technology Conference finished up yesterday, so I thought I’d do a play-by-play on my experience of it this year, while it was still fresh. https://energyscienceconference.com/2022-conference-schedule/ Because I was speaking this year, the whole event felt more like work, but more satisfying because I was confident people would be able to make…

7/1/22 – Borehole to hell (or at least the local water table)
Started drilling a borehole to hell (or at least to the local water table).Tesla experiments demand a very low-impedance ground, and the only way to get some of the high-end experiments done is to drill deep. Probably gonna be a long-term project, especially as i fine-tune a process and hit various layers of clay, gravel,…

Project Update – 5/31/2022 – “A hacking we will go”
aka – ‘Fixing that which is not yet broken’ 5/27 Traced out the main components on the HF amplifier, found what looks like the main relay driver for the amp.I’m pretty sure if I feed this 24v to trip the relay, it will force itself to be always-on regardless of what the computer says. This…

Shop Notes 3/31 – HV Tesla amplifier rack
High-voltage rack is slowly coming together as parts begin to trickle in. I’m designing it as a universal HV/Tesla-type power system with multiple oscillators and amplifiers designed to run coils in the 1-4kw area. The tube-based amps are on-hold while I wait for PCB’s, but the solid-state 3kw amp should be in Monday, and the…
