  • Shop Notes 3/31 – HV Tesla amplifier rack

High-voltage rack is slowly coming together as parts begin to trickle in. I’m designing it as a universal HV/Tesla-type power system with multiple oscillators and amplifiers designed to run coils in the 1-4kw area. The tube-based amps are on-hold while I wait for PCB’s, but the solid-state 3kw amp should be in Monday, and the…

  • Parametrics and dreams

So, if all non-conservative electrical systems operate based on parametric variation (of permittivity/permeability), then applying a static DC potential and/or current to a simple Tesla Extra coil should result in small EMP-like impulses when the coil is energized with conventional standard RF near the resonant frequency. It’s crazy the things we think up when we’re…

  • 3/28/22 – Linear amplifier initial tests

Doing some initial low-power tests with a cheap ‘100 watt’ linear HF amplifier for Tesla Coil experiments. Oddly, this amp seems to work best without a tuner. Perhaps some quirk with impedance, I haven’t tracked it down yet. Powering a Tesla Coil Extra it lights florescent bulbs nicely at a few feet away, though the…

For those unfamiliar, I do a lot of engineering+science project updates on Minds and Bitchute (formerly Twitter). Hopefully there will be something that piques your interest.😉

  • Foundry/Metalcasting Experiments (Fall 2020)

Following experiments with a homemade plastic injection molding machine, the zeitgeist led me to construct and experiment with an aluminum metalcasting foundry. Inspiration: https://www.instructables.com/id/Propane-Tank-Aluminium-Smelter-No-Weld/ Summary:   I had great initial success following the blog as a guide for building a casting foundry, but eventually I ran into far too many issues with the burner. At first,…
